China Super Tech Co., Ltd. has specially designed electrolytic polished stainless steel pipes for data center environments. These pipes are made from 316L austenitic stainless steel as the base material and undergo electrochemical electrolytic polishing treatment. The surface roughness of the inner wall of the pipe is as low as Ra ≤ 0.38 μm. Compared to ordinary stainless steel pipes, it has a fundamental improvement in corrosion resistance, cleanliness, and fluid efficiency. It is an ideal choice for data center liquid cooling systems and gas transportation pipelines.

1.Electrolytic polishing, rather than mechanical polishing
We use the principle of electrochemical anode dissolution to remove the microscopic protrusions on the surface, not through grinding with a grinding wheel. This means that no mechanical stress layer or embedded particles will be formed on the inner wall of the tube, and the surface truly achieves "no dead corners" smoothness, with the bacterial attachment rate reduced by more than 90%.


2.316L low-carbon stainless steel substrate
The carbon content is controlled at ≤ 0.03%, to prevent intergranular corrosion after welding. Compared to 304 stainless steel, the molybdenum content (2-3%) enhances its resistance to pitting corrosion in chloride-containing environments by three times, which is particularly crucial in data center air conditioning condensate water environments.


3. TIG welding + online electrolytic polishing after welding
The welding seam area and the pipe body undergo electrolytic treatment simultaneously to remove the oxidized color and rough layer in the welding heat affected zone. The performance of the entire pipe is consistent, and there is no issue of "the weld seam being the weak link".

1.Data center liquid cooling pipeline
The liquid cooling system has extremely high requirements for the cleanliness of the inner wall of the pipeline. Any particle shedding could potentially block the micro-channel cooling plate. Our pipeline inner wall has Ra ≤ 0.38 μm. The fluid resistance is approximately 15% lower than that of ordinary stainless steel pipes, and there is no particle shedding at all, directly protecting the cooling plate and pump unit.


2. High-purity gas transportation
The protective gases such as nitrogen and argon used in data centers have zero tolerance for contamination of the pipelines. The electrolytic polished surface does not adsorb grease or moisture, and the gas output cleanliness can reach the ppb level, which is beyond the capability of mechanical polishing pipes.


3. Fire Protection and Sprinkler System
The fire protection pipes in the data center are always filled with water and remain in standby mode. Ordinary carbon steel pipes tend to rust within 3-5 years. The 316L + electrolytic polishing dual protection ensures a service life of over 20 years, with a long maintenance-free period and lower operation and maintenance costs for the data center.

1. Pipe diameter range: OD 6mm - 114mm
Our electrolytic polishing tanks have been designed with size-matching for different pipe diameters. Even for the 6mm small pipe diameter, the electrolyte can flow uniformly along the inner wall of the pipe, ensuring consistent polishing results. Many manufacturers can only handle large pipe diameters, and the polishing of small pipe diameters is uneven. We do not have such limitations.


2. Surface roughness: Three levels of Ra available: 0.25μm / 0.38μm / 0.5μm
The roughness is not determined by guesswork based on experience, but is adjusted by precisely controlling the current density and electrolysis time. If you require Ra 0.25μm, you will receive exactly 0.25μm. Each batch can be reproduced consistently, and there is no issue of "this batch is good while that batch is bad".


3. Pipe end processing: Flaring, threading, grooved, and sleeve joint pre-installation
All pipe end processing is directly completed online after TIG welding, without the need to disassemble and send to another process. This means that the inner wall of the pipe will not be contaminated or scratched due to secondary clamping, which is something that manufacturers with step-by-step processing cannot achieve.


4. Fixed-length cutting: Minimum length is 100mm.
The entire process is carried out in a clean workshop. After cutting, the pipes do not fall to the ground and are directly sealed. The minimum order quantity is as low as 50 pieces. The delivery time is 7-15 working days. Each batch comes with a material certificate and an electrolytic polishing test report.

What are the differences between electrolytic polishing tubes and mechanical polishing tubes?

Mechanical polishing is a physical grinding process, which leaves micro-cracks and embedded abrasive particles on the surface. Electrolytic polishing is an electrochemical dissolution process, which only removes the protrusions without damaging the substrate, and the surface has no stress layer. Data center liquid cooling and gas pipelines must be polished with electrolytic method, as this is a mandatory requirement in the industry, not an optional choice.

Why not use copper tubes? Copper tubes are known for their better heat conductivity, aren't they?

Copper tubes do have better heat conductivity. However, in data centers, there are two issues: Firstly, copper ions can contaminate the cooling fluid, causing corrosion of the cold plates; Secondly, copper tubes are not resistant to chlorine-containing water. Our stainless steel electrolytic polished tubes have slightly lower heat conductivity, but they are zero-pollution, zero-corrosion, have a long lifespan of over 20 years, and have a lower overall cost.

Do your products meet the cleanroom standards?

Yes. The inner walls have a Ra value of ≤ 0.38 μm. Before leaving the factory, they undergo pure water rinsing + nitrogen blowing drying + double-end cap sealing treatment, meeting the cleanliness requirements of ISO 14644 Class 7 and above. They can be directly installed in the data center cabinet area.

Can we produce in small quantities? How long is the delivery time?

Yes, we can. The minimum order quantity is 50 pieces. For regular specifications, it takes 7 working days. For customized specifications, it takes 10 to 15 working days. Each tube is packed separately, along with a material certificate and an electrolytic polishing parameter report.
