The Function of Rolled Finned Stainless Steel Tubes

Rolled finned stainless steel tubes are high-efficiency heat exchange elements made of stainless steel as the base material, with integrally formed fins on the outer (or inner) surface of the tube through a one-piece rolling process. Their core function is to enhance heat transfer, improve corrosion resistance and structural reliability, making them suitable for harsh industrial environments such as high temperature, high pressure, and corrosive conditions.

 

Significantly Increased Heat Transfer Area: The finned structure significantly expands the contact area between the tube wall and the fluid, increasing heat transfer efficiency by 6–16 times compared to bare tubes.

 

No Contact Thermal Resistance: The rolling process allows the fins and base tube to be integrally formed and seamlessly integrated, avoiding the contact thermal resistance caused by welding or assembly, resulting in higher heat transfer efficiency.

 

Excellent Corrosion Resistance: Made of 304, 316L, or 321 stainless steel, it can withstand corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, chloride ions, and seawater, making it suitable for chemical, marine engineering, and environmental protection fields.

 

High Strength and High Reliability: The stainless steel base material can withstand pressures up to 1.6–4.0 MPa and maintains structural stability at high temperatures (up to 900℃), resisting vibration and detachment.

 

Anti-scaling and Easy-to-Clean: The smooth surface does not easily attract scale or dust, meeting the hygiene standards of the food and pharmaceutical industries.
